Huskies take on DePaul to open Series

The Husky Softball team opens this morning with a game against DePaul University of Chicago to open the College Softball World Series.

Only one potential problem for UW: Cinderella has been on a roll. The Blue Demons, regular-season champions (20-0) of the Big East (generally regarded as a second-tier softball conference), have marched through the postseason with five straight wins -- the first four coming on shutouts.

ESPN will carry the game live at 10:00 AM Seattle time.

Guess I will be watching softball this AM. OTOH, do you think Cam Dollar will be a HC at EWU, since they canned their coach this morning? Not sure if he would be a good fit there as it sounds like the administration has been in chaos for the last couple of years, but he is overdue for a chance to be HC somewhere.

I think Cam would be a guy on the short list, but would they make Cam's short list? I think Dollar can do better if he is patient. He has no reason to panic, he is still pretty young, and better opportunities will come up.

I am going to watch the softball game too, it has been awhile since I have seen won.
