Huskies Fall to Stanford 82-79

UW fell behind early but were able to come back and make this one too close for comfort for the Cardinal. Brockman had one of his best games all season, but it wasn't enough as UW ran out of time falling to Stanford 82-79.

Despite the loss the Huskies are playing their best basketball of the season right now with two regular season games, and the conference tourney left. The loss pretty much sealed UW's post season fate unless they win the Pac Tourney.

Brockman led UW with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Joe Wolfinger had a strong game finishing with 12 points in 18 minutes of acion. The Huskies are now 15-14 overall, 6-10 in Pac-10 play.

Not a bad way to get ready for the tournament, which is our only chance to get in the tournament. Wolfinger making a nice contribution and Pondexter playing like he should. A lucky game or two at the line, get Morris back on track and who knows? I think we're looking pretty good on occasion, especially down low. I hope they can string a run together.

After watching the ASU game in person I'm not sure I agree that their playing their best of the season. It's just been too up and down all year. We come of a great game against Arizona to get completely hammered by ASU. We played a good game last night (and with only a slight improvement in FT or 3-pt shooting would have won), which makes me wonder what team is going to show up tomorrow at Berkely. I think we'll be lucky to make the CBI.

It is a crappy season so it is pretty subjective. Arizona and Stanford were good performances. they stunk against ASU.
