Molly Yanity of the PI wrote a very informative article on transfer CB Byron Davenport yesterday in the PI. If you take the time to read this article it really revels the seedy underseam many kids have to escape during the recruiting process. This isn't an isolated incident even though the name, and circumstances change each year.
James Montgomery a RB who ended up at Cal wanted to go to UW, but family pressure resulted in him going to Cal. You really hate to see things like that happen, but it does happen, and Molly's article really pulls a few emotional strings. Nice job Molly.
The Post-Standard reports today that Syracuse coach Greg Robinson has named sophomore Andrew Robinson as the opening-day starting quarterback. This isn't really big news since Robinson did enough to win the job outright last Spring. Robinson is going to be a good one, and he has the potential to lead Syracuse out of the hole they have fallen into in recent years.
Bob Condotta over at the Seattle Times has been putting a little focus on the offensive line. It looks like for the most part the younger players have held the more experienced, but flabbier players off from regaining their starting job.
