This one didn't stay very interesting, very long. UCLA methodically moved out to a double digit lead in the first half and never really had to look back at Washington. Brockman had some good stats, but most of it came late when it really didn't matter anymore. Pondexter had some nice moments, but he needs to be more consistent. He tends to disapear out there from time to time.
Ryan Appleby was smothered last night because the player guarding was 5 inches taller, and much quicker. Washington didn't do a great job putting together screens to get him open from long range. Ryan was scoreless for the night.
Washington doesn't move the ball very well, and it is compounded by the fact that they don't shoot it very well either. I will give you this, UCLA is likely to be one of the last four teams around at the end of the year. They are a good team,a nd I would say they are probably better than WSU at this point. I guess we find out this weekend who is better on UCLA's home court.
