Whether you come by plane, boat, car, foot or Dawg sled, Homecoming Week 2006 at the University of Washington promises to be well worth the journey.
Beginning with the 21st Annual Dawg Dash and culminating in the Homecoming football game between the Huskies and Arizona State, Homecoming 2006 runs from October 22-29 and is packed with Husky spirit and rousing activities.
Homecoming is all about the UW's time-honored traditions-whether that means cheering on Football Coach Tyrone Willingham at the Homecoming Rally, racing through campus in the Dawg Dash, or watching a great football game. Everyone is invited.
Highlights of Homecoming Week include the 21st annual Dawg Dash and Post-Dash Bash, a popular 10K run/5K walk through campus and post-event celebration in Husky Stadium; as well as the second annual Homecoming Kickoff, a pre-rally rally for friends of the UW Alumni Association (That means everyone is invited!)
The centerpiece is the Homecoming Rally, in which Husky fans from all over converge on "Red Square" on Friday night, October 27.
This year's rally will be emceed by KJR-AM radio personality Dave "Softy" Mahler. It will feature food, fun giveaways, the announcement of the Homecoming Court, the introduction of the Dawg Dash winners, performances by the Husky Marching Band and Cheer Squad and a pep talk from Coach Willingham.
