Costa Update

Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti said that Nate Costa was dinged up in a scrimmage last night but continued to play. Costa was held out today and the team orthopedic surgeon is going to take a look at him on Sunday when he gets back from vacation if needed.

Bellotti was more optimistic today and said Costa could be back as early as Friday.

Here's what we know: Costa hurt the knee during Wednesday's practice, walked off the field and is now listed as "out'' on today's medical report.

Whenever your starting QB goes down nine days before the opener you are going to play a cat and mouse game with the media. No reason to tip your opponent off about what to expect.

Once again we hope Nate is OK and can start against UW.
